Cláudia Gomes Oliveira is a language consultant, translator and chartered linguist. 


She regularly collaborates with government authorities, museums, and educational platforms by providing language consultancy (Portuguese) and translation services (English & Spanish into Portuguese), while advocating for a more inclusive and accessible language.


Her book-length translations include As Bruxas de Manningtree (The Manningtree Witches) by award-winning author and poet A. K. Blakemore (Aurora, 2024), the series As Lendas Improváveis de Baskerville Hall (The Improbable Tales of Baskerville Hall) by Ali Standish (Presença, 2023), Nome de Guerra: Emma (Alias: Emma) by Ava Glass (Presença, 2024), O Meu Período (Own Your Period) by Chella Quint (Jacarandá, 2022), and more.


She translate for various NGOs on a pro bono basis and presently serves on the Proz Pro Bono program's team as Ambassador for the Portuguese language.

Founder of Portuguese social entrepreneuship project Companhia das Cartas (www.companhiadascartas.pt), aimed at fighting loneliness and isolation through the exchange of handwritten letters.
