Words fascinate me.
I write, translate, and recite those that come to me, in one way or another.
I photograph trees, clovers, and mosses, and enjoy listening to blackbirds and greenfinches. I am also an actress, for words can be expressed in many ways.
I grew up reading and writing. I studied Arts, Dance, and was a federated athlete. Multiple interests in limited time resulted in assorted studies, experiences in a variety of countries, and a diverse professional path.
My training comprises an MEng in Urban Engineering (University of Lisbon), an MA in Film Studies (University of Exeter), a Diploma in Translation and Linguists Information Technologies (Camões Institute), and Certificates in Creative Writing and Proofreading. I am also a certified trainer. I studied Theatre, Film and Dance (in Lisbon and London) and work in the artistic Portuguese scene since 2000.
My book-length translations include Wicked (Cultura, 2025), the novel of ideas by Gregory Maguire; As Bruxas de Manningtree (The Manningtree Witches) by award-winning author and poet A. K. Blakemore (Aurora, 2024), A Agente Secreta (Alias: Emma) by Ava Glass (Presença, 2025), O Meu Período (Own Your Period) by Chella Quint (Jacarandá, 2022), and more.
As for children's and young adult literature, I point out the translation of the series As Lendas Improváveis de Baskerville Hall (The Improbable Tales of Baskerville Hall) by Ali Standish (Presença, 2026), an imaginative portrait of young Arthur Conan Doyle, creator of Sherlock Holmes.
Furthermore, I provide language consulting services to art galleries, museums, publishers, and government institutions.
As an author, I would highlight Musgo — O Mundo Verde (author's edition, 2025), a text in verse for children.
Moreover, I'm the author of Que Fizeste Hoje Para Mudar o Mundo? (What Have you Done Today to Change the World?), a colection of interviews to extraordinary people (in Portuguese).
In 2026, I created Árvore-Mãe (Mother Tree) — a creative ecosystem where I regularly publish compositions (sent as a newsletter), read-alouds, and other features that celebrate the Word.
